Nyinkka Nyunyu Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre
Nyinkka Nyunyu ( pronounced ny-ink-a ny-oo-ny-oo) is a unique art and culture centre which offers visitors an opportunity to learn about aboriginal life, history and land in the Tennant Creek region.
The Centre sets new benchmarks in a multi faceted precinct in which visitors have the opportunity to:
- Shop at the Retail Shop featuring local art and craft works, gifts, books, etc;
- Obtain information from the local Indigenous experts at the Information Centre;
- Sit and enjoy a fresh juice or coffee at the Jajjikari Café;
- Visit the Museum/Gallery. Entry Fee applies to Museum and Gallery
- Watch traditional and contemporary performances in either of the two performance areas; AS Scheduled.
- Explore the landscaped garden of indigenous plants and bush tucker.
Nyinkka Nyunyu is fully owned and operated by aboriginal people from Tennant Creek.
